About

Clinicians and systems thinkers, building the reasoning layer we wished we had.

We've spent our careers working on complex, poorly-explained conditions. EtioLinksAI exists because we've seen firsthand how structured reasoning can change outcomes — and replace clinician overwhelm.

Our story

Our mission

We know how heavy the decision-making burden is for clinicians and how isolating stalled progress feels for patients. EtioLinksAI exists to bring clarity, empathy, and measurable improvement to both.

What we deliver

We understand the pressure on clinicians to make high-stakes decisions in minutes, and the frustration of patients who feel stuck in a system that can't explain their illness. EtioLinksAI exists to give both a clearer path forward.

How we will deliver

Primary care carries enormous cognitive load, and patients often feel lost in the process. PainMAP lightens that load and helps patients move forward — from the moment they complete the intake form.

PainMAP — our first tool

We built PainMAP to solve the uncertainty clinicians face and the stalled progress patients feel, living with complex, persistent pain.

“We've seen how hard it is for clinicians to make confident decisions in complex pain. PainMAP gives them the clarity they deserve and gives patients the progress and validation they've been missing.”

The technology

A hybrid model — traceable, rules-bound, and grounded.

EtioLinksAI is a clinical-tech venture. The reasoning engine combines a rules-based clinical framework — built from peer-reviewed mechanism science and decades of multidisciplinary practice — with a small language model (SLM) tuned for medical reasoning.

Every classification, every recommendation, and every risk flag is anchored to an explicit rule and an explicit citation. The SLM does not invent reasoning paths or hallucinate clinical conclusions. Clinicians see exactly which signals fired, why a pathway was selected, and where the evidence came from.

  • Rules-bound — every decision traceable to a published rule
  • Grounded SLM — domain-tuned, not free-form generation
  • Auditable — full reasoning path visible to the clinician
  • Override-first — clinician judgment is the final word

Clinical advisory board

Grounded in mechanism science and decades of clinical practice.

Our advisors are pain scientists, primary care leaders, and clinical researchers who have shaped how chronic pain is understood and treated. They guide PainMAP's clinical logic, evidence base, and pathway design.

Coming soon

We're finalising commitments from our advisory board. Members will be announced shortly.
